Call (802) 253-3080 or email sarah@mountainvillageschool.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. Sarah or Ali will follow up to talk through what you are looking for and which room might fit. If there is an opening that matches your schedule, we will set up a time to visit.
Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join, and meet the teachers who run it. You can watch how the room is set up, ask what the day looks like, and see children at work and at play. Tours are unhurried, and your questions set the pace. Afterward we will talk about next steps and what paperwork looks like.
Enroll and settle in
Complete the enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We will talk through drop-off, rest, and what your child needs. Then your child starts, and we take the first days gently.
What to have ready
Most families gather the enrollment forms first. You will also need a health form and an immunization record, plus emergency contacts and the names of people allowed to pick up your child. If you are unsure what applies to your child, ask us before you send anything in.
Pack a change of clothes that can stay in your child's cubby. Add outdoor gear for the season, since children go outside in all types of weather. Nap items and one comfort object help too. Put your child's name on everything.
Before the first day, decide who will drop off and who will pick up. Tell us those names. Think about how you want to hear about the day, at pickup or through Procare. Families sign up with Procare and use it to keep in touch with us.

The first days are often shorter. Your child may come for part of the morning and build up from there. A familiar object from home can help. A teacher greets your child by name at the door.
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, ate, and rested. They mention what went well and what was hard. Most children settle within a few weeks, though the timing differs. Ask the teacher anything you are wondering about.

Pickup runs from 3:30 to 4:30, and the after school program carries children through until 5:30.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Families usually hear about the day at pickup, when there is time to talk with a teacher about what your child did and how they seemed. We also ask families to sign up with Procare and use it to keep communication going between home and school. If something needs more attention, a teacher will find you directly.
